The UC San Diego Advanced Cell Therapy Laboratory (ACTL) is a cell manufacturing facility that produces new cell therapies manufactured under current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) regulations suitable for clinical trials.
Cell products manufactured by ACTL include diverse immune cells typically used for cancer treatment, as well as non-immune cells such as neuronal cells used for tissue repair. The UC San Diego ACTL has initiated a new internship program to introduce interns to different aspects of clinical cell manufacturing.
